Osteochondrosis and its treatment

You should eat honey not when you've already fallen ill, but always.

Osteochondrosis is the most widespread disease of the peripheral nervous system, when nerve fibres emerging from spinal cord (dorsal roots). Professor Popelyavsky wrote: "By sixty–seventy years osteochondrosis affects almost every vertebra. It mostly affects cervical and lumbar regions". That is intervertebral disks are affected at the places of edges of movable regions relative to immovable regions. (lumbar region is relative to sacral, cervical thoracic, and the reason for the changes is that cartilaginous intervertebral disks lose their elasticity and squeeze dorsal roots. At the junctions of vertebrae with changed discs salts are deposited, forming projections. Examining patients with cervical region osteochondrosis, the projecting atlas can bee felt.

A person, leading a sedentary life, in the neck, dooms himself to osteochondrosis. A thoughtless attitude to the civilisation achievements promotes osteochondrosis. A man should be active and supple. If he is not, then a jerky turn of the head, body or physical exercises salt projections in joints can press roots of nerves causing pain. The disease is usually acute and develops into a chronic form with periodic exacerbation. As the main osteochondrosis symptoms are pain and mobility disorders, bee venom and other beekeeping products have a salutary impact on all the main aetiology factors. So adolapin (one of bee venom peptides) has an aesthetic effect. The practice of using apitherapy especially bees' stings counts more that 2000 years. And this practice based on various methods for curing peripheral nervous system diseases by using both bees stings and medicines containing bee venom and other beekeeping products is continued nowadays.

Limited mobility, wrong position of the body at the steering wheel or at the writing table for many long hours- the head is bowed forward, the spinal column is curved, the front part of intervertebral disks is pressed and the back part is stretched- and as a result, the front part is deprived of the necessary amount of blood or blood flows at a higher speed, and the contrary happens to the back part- too much blood at a low speed. Blood stream resembles a water stream in the river, carrying sand, which settles on the bottom at the places where the current of the river slows down. Similarly blood brings salts to the spinal column and leaves them in an empty space of the intervertebral disks. What should we do to make blood take away superfluous salts?

It is necessary to use bees' stings and massage with honey to the affected area. Native bees venom, into blood makes it more liquid (there is no gerudin), improves capillary permeability and heart work, moderates, relieves or eliminates pain. Honey massage stimulates blood circulation.

The number of bee stings during a treatment session depends on the organism's tolerance to venom. Beekeepers have developed a high tolerance to the venom and can be stung by a large number of bees at a time, while people not engaged in beekeeping should be very careful and undergo the course of bees-sting treatment under the control of a specialist in apitherapy. Practice has shown that for patients suffering from cervical region osteochondrosis with severe symptoms (pain in cervical region, the limited mobility and crunching sound in the neck, headaches and tinnitus, projection of the atlas, pain in the wrists and their numbness or tingling) three or four treatment sessions of complex therapy are usually sufficient. The younger is a man and the less the disease is neglected, the less time the recovery will take.
