If you have a cold in the head:
20 gram of grinned propolis mix with 40 gr. of butter and 40 gr. of sunflower oil. Stir it. Then put the tampon wetted in the mixture into nose two times a day-in the morning and in the evening – for 10-15 minutes.
30 gr. of grinned propolis infuse in 100 gr. of distillate spirit for 1,5 –2 week, shaking the mixture from time to time. Then filter it and mix with 2 parts of peach oil. Spread it on the nasopharynx once a day during 10-15 days. 3-4 drops of 10-20 % oil propolis dredge should be put into the nose twice a day.
Pour a glass of boiling water over a tablespoonful of St.-John's wort, let it infuse 15-20 minutes and then filter the infusion. Add 20 drops of 20% propolis tincture per half a glass of the infusion and gargle your throat 2-3 times a day.
Chew comb honey or a tablespoonful of beeswax hourly during 4-6 days. Chew it for 15 minutes then spit it out. If you have an acute inflammation of nasopharynx mucous membrane and of sinus a course of the treatment during a day is sufficient.
Once or twice a day put a piece of creamed honey as big as a pea into every nostril. In order to reduce irritation caused by honey put a few drops of anaesthetic. Lie on your back until the remedy flows along the nasal mucous membrane into the larynx, where it soaks in.
Use aerosol and humidity treatments. Inhale the steam of 20% tincture of honey ( through the spout of the kettle which is on gas oven) during 15-20 minutes before going to bed. Prepare a 50% solution of honey on distilled water for aerosol treatments and keep it in a dark glassware in a cool place. Inhale aerosol through the nose or the mouth during 20 minutes twice a day.
Warm thoroughly sinuses by hot boiled eggs, applying them to both sides of the nose until eggs cool completely. Then put 5-6 drops of the mixture of a teaspoonful of honey and 2,5 of teaspoonfuls of beet juice into every nostril 4-5 times a day. The treatment is administered to children with adenoids.
Take honey before going to bed, wrap up yourself and go to bed. Drinking honey with hot milk or tea (made of lime flowers, raspberry or of other medicinal herbs) in proportion a tablespoonful of honey per a glass of liquid is very effective. Honey is not recommended to people suffering from heart diseases or having poor health.
Lime honey, that has a definite sudorific effect, is used for curing respiratory tract diseases.
Make tea of 2 parts of coltsfoot, 2 parts of raspberries and a part of origanum. Boil it, add a tablespoonful of honey and drink it.
Put a tablespoonful of lime or melitot honey into a glass of hot tea or milk and drink before going to bed.
Lemon juice, a tablespoonful, and 100 gr. of honey take with hot tea or milk daily before going to bed.
Radish juice and honey are mixed in equal parts and take a table spoonful 2-3 times a day ( a tea spoonful for children)
Horseradish juice and honey are mixed in equal parts. Take a tablespoonful twice a day.
Brew 100 gr of fresh raspberries or 2 tablespoonfuls of dry raspberries in a glass of water add a tablespoonful of honey. Drink warm before sleep.
Brew a tablespoonful of elderberries in a glass of water, infuse 20 minutes, filter and add a tablespoonful of honey. Take a tablespoonful 4 times a day.
Brew a table spoonful of lime flowers in a glass of water, infuse during 20 minutes, filter, and add a table spoonful of honey and drink before going to bed.
Make an infusion of honey and lime flowers: pour boiling water over lime flowers and in 30 minutes, when the infusion will be of golden colour, filter it, add 80 gr of honey and lemon acid to your taste.
Brew a tablespoonful of dry coltsfoot leaves in a glass of water, cool it, add a teaspoonful of honey. Take a table spoonful 2-3 times a day as expectorating and sudorific.
Mix fresh cabbage juice with honey: 1-2-tea spoonfuls of honey per a glass of juice. Take 2 table spoonfuls before meals and before going to bed. You can also mix 2 table spoonfuls of fresh butter, 2 yolks, a tea spoonful of wheat flour and 2 tea spoonfuls of honey. Take a tea spoonful several times a day.
Give the following mixture to children who suffer from cough, whooping cough, and bronchitis. Pour a glass of water over a tea spoonful of honey, two table spoonfuls of anise seeds, and a tip of table salt, heat the mixture to boiling, filter and give a child every two hours. While coughing decreases, the dose should be reduced. You can also give a mixture of honey and warm olive oil (1:1), a tea spoonful several times a day.
For elder children you can prepare the following mixture: 500 gr. of minced onion, 50 gr. of honey, 40 gr. of sugar boil during 3 hours in a litre of water. Give a child a table spoonful 4-5 times a day. Don’t give honey to children suffering from diathesis.
Mix ½ a glass of fluid honey and ½ a glass of warm olive oil and take a tea spoonful 5-6 times a day.
Red bilberries juice with honey and also honey (100-150 gr a day) with fresh carrot juice or with milk, these mixtures have expectorating effect.
Take carrot juice with honey, a table spoonful several times a day, if you have viral infection.
If you have tonsillitis, sore throat, and stomatitis, brew a table spoonful of dry camomile in a glass of water. Cool, filter, add a tea spoonful of honey and gargle your mouth and throat 3 times a day.
If you suffer from tonsillitis, diphtheria, bleeding gums and loosened teeth, take syrup made of green peel of walnuts, infused on honey.
Keep a tea spoonful of honey till it completely dissolves, for sanitation of mouth cavity. As a result pathogenic flora in the mouth, nasal cavity, and throat decreases.
Take the mixture of minced garlic and honey (1:1), a table spoonful before going to bed, if you have got the influenza.
For stimulating immunity, take 100-150 gr. of honey, dividing the dose into 4-6 times a day during 1-2 months.
